I guess the long dry spell has three culprits: a project flop, getting pregnant while trying to sew a blouse (who knows what size I'll be when the new baby is born....), and a baby who learned to crawl, then walk, then run. The flop was the legacy quilt I last posted about. I washed it, and several bad things happened. Some of the cotton was not pre-shrunk, and for a cotton-polyester quilt, that spells trouble. The yarn I tied it with frayed horribly. And some of the stitching came undone due to raveling in the polyester fabric. It really knocked me down, and with the baby and all that, I just haven't gotten back up. Ugh.
So I'm starting the new year off right: with resolutions, and then some sewing time. I'll have to be quick in this post so I don't completely run out of nap time before I actually get to my machine!
